Teaching Staff:

Our teaching staff are carefully selected to fit in with our philosophy of serious and effective martial arts, we only choose the best of the best and every single one of our teachers has proved themselves in competition, certificates and belts are only a secondary concern and do not hold much water with us as they are being sold like tickets these days to anyone who would like to pay for them.

As is the case with all real martial artists our masters are all dedicated, confident and always ready for a good full contact sparring session.

Dr. K . Kannan Ahsan: Varmakalai, Yoga :

Varmakalai Ahsan, Adi Murai Gnanaoli Thiruthondar,  Silambam Juror Tamil Nadu, Shotokan black belt, National freestyle full contact champion 1992, President of Tamilnadu Varmakalai association, general secretary of Tamil Nadu yoga association, Yoga Ratna awardee, National Karate champion (93, 94, 95), Mr madurai 1990, President of “Bohar Maharishi Varmam & Tamil Traditional Research Center”. Author : Tamilagaththin Veerakkalaigal (2004).

With over 35 years as a martial artist, historian, Siddha doctor and Varma yogi, Kannan Ahsan is one of the worlds foremost authorities on Varmakalai and Tamil martial arts.

Master Kebiraj: Urban Self defense, Conditioning and Kumite :

Jujitsu black belt, 5th Dan Budokai karate master, Kodokan Judo black belt, Adi Murai, Silambam, state Judo Champion and national competitor, Asian full contact karate champion, Technical director of Budokai India founder and president of Indian Goju Ryu.

Kebiraj has won more than 200 full contact martial arts fighting championships in the national and international arena, trained the Tamil Nadu special police and indian army commandoes, he is considered to be one of the most accomplished young martial artists in the country.

 

Joseph Terris Inigo: Mixed Martial Arts:

Kodokan Judo blackbelt, Shotokan karate 2nd dan blackbelt, Silambam expert, professional Malyutham practitioner, Adi Murai practitioner, State judo champion (current) and national competitor, winner of numerous full contact martial arts competitions at a national as well as international level.

Weighing in at 120 Kilos this muscle bound 24 year old Athlete and Martial artist practices four hours a day and is one of the most feared opponents in the heavy weight full contact tournaments around India and Asia. Joseph loves to fight in the ring and has chosen to shift to Chennai and make Martial Arts and Combat Sports a full time career.

Anish: Multiple gold medallist in judo state championships, national competitor.

Baskar: multiple gold medallist at state level Boxing tournaments, 2004 Tamilnadu best boxer, National ranking

Francis: multiple gold medallist at state level Boxing tournaments, 2002 Tamilnadu best boxer, National ranking

Some of our mentors, teachers and Technical consultants:

Master Rajagopal: (kodokan and olympic Judo, jujitsu)

Kodokan Judo 5th degree blackbelt (father of judo in south India), Technical head for judo federation Tamil Nadu, Jujitsu 6th Degree blackbelt, president of Tamilnadu Jujitsu association.

Aged 73 Master Rajagopal has been practicing martial arts for 66 years and he still takes classes on a daily basis and goes around throwing students like he is in his twenties, he is the person who founded the Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala Judo associations and still runs runs one of the first Judo schools in  South Asia, he learnt judo from the Japanese and received his 2nd Dan black belt in Japan, he has received too many awards and accolades to begin listing.

Master Saran Kodavaluru : (Mixed Martial Arts, gi and no-gi Judo,  gi and no-gi Brazillian jui jitsu)

Kodokan Judo Blackbelt and national competitor, Brazillian Jiu Jitsu (gracie) blue belt, MMA practitioner.

Saran is a Chennai based businessman for whom Combat Sports is a passion, he has travelled the world and studied Brazillian jui jutsu and MMA at some of the best schools on the planet (ground control baltimore, boston bjj) and is a regular visitor at the Lions Den. He is by far one of the most technically sound MMA and Judo teachers in the country today.
